Before proceeding any further, please make sure you have the following requirements. All of these should be present to be able to reconnect successfully

  1. Facebook account with a Facebook Page - The FB account you want to use should be currently logged in your Facebook mobile app.
  2. Instagram Creator or Business account - If your IG account is still Personal, you need to convert it to a Creator or Business account. For help on this, you can visit: https://help.tribegroup.co/en/articles/3640510-how-do-i-connect-my-instagram-account-to-tribe
  3. Instagram Account connected to a Facebook Page - The IG account (from item 2 above) should be connected to a FB page. For help on this, you can visit https://help.tribegroup.co/en/articles/3640510-how-do-i-connect-my-instagram-account-to-tribe. The Facebook page connected to your IG should also be under the FB account that is currently logged in your FB mobile app (from item 1 above)

If all of these 3 items above are in order and you still can't reconnect, you can try each of the following solutions below one by one. Make sure to try to reconnect your socials (Facebook or Instagram) to Tribe after doing each solution before moving on to the next

Solution 1: Reinstall Tribe App

  1. Logout of Tribe
  2. Delete Tribe app
  3. Reinstall the latest Tribe app from the App Store or Play Store
  4. Login to Tribe
  5. Retry reconnecting your socials to Tribe

Solution 2: Reset Instagram Login

  1. Logout of your Instagram app from your mobile phone
  2. Open your mobile phone's browser, and go to facebook.com and logout
  3. Logout of your Tribe app
  4. Login to the Instagram app from your mobile phone (use the Instagram account you are connecting to Tribe)
  5. Login to your mobile phone's browser and go to facebook.com and login to the FB account linked to your Tribe account
  6. Login to the Facebook app from your mobile phone (similar Facebook account to Step 5)
  7. Login to your Tribe app
  8. Retry reconnecting your socials to Tribe

Solution 3: Desktop IG Connection

You need to do this on a PC/Mac

  1. Go to Facebook on a browser
  2. Go to "Page Settings" and click Instagram
  3. Check if your Instagram account is listed there
  4. If it's connected, please disconnect and try to reconnect from here; If it's NOT connected, please connect to the Instagram from here and then try to do it on TRIBE app
  5. Wait for 30 minutes and then retry reconnecting your socials to Tribe

Solution 4: FB Business Integration

  1. Logout of Tribe app
  2. Uninstall Tribe app
  3. Open mobile FB app and click the more options icon (the three lines icon)
  4. Go to Settings & Privacy, click on Settings
  5. Under Security, there will be a “Business Integrations” option. Remove the TRIBE app from there
  6. Reinstall Tribe app and log back into Tribe
  7. Retry reconnecting your socials to Tribe. When you get to the permissions pages, check all the Facebook pages and Instagram handles, and make sure you check all the permissions
