What is BrandMatch and How Will it Help Me?

Win more and earn more with our exciting algorithm!

Updated over 2 years ago

“We want to ensure that creators have the best possible chance of making money that is fast, easy and fun through TRIBE, and BrandMatch will help you to see which briefs you have the highest chance of winning,” Jules Lund, Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at TRIBE.

Jules has nailed the sentiment behind our new BrandMatch feature. We want you, our Creators, to win more AND earn more, and we believe this feature will help you do just that.

What are the benefits of BrandMatch?

BrandMatch helps you focus your time and effort on the campaigns that offer you the highest chance of winning by showing you a percentage score for each campaign. The higher the BrandMatch score, the more chance you have to win. And the more you win, the more you earn!

In a nutshell, you will save time and effort by submitting to campaigns you’re more likely to win, which should lead to you winning more of the campaigns you submit to.

What is BrandMatch?

BrandMatch is a percentage relevance score that indicates how compatible you are with a brief. As you scroll through the campaign feed, you’ll see that each campaign is given a percentage score.

What does the score mean?

The higher the BrandMatch score you see on the brief, the more closely you match who the brand is looking for, and the more likely you are to win compared to a campaign with a low BrandMatch score.

You can also sort your feed by this BrandMatch, so the briefs with a high score will appear first.

How is it calculated?

BrandMatch works similarly to other algorithms you may be used to, like how your Netflix or Spotify account will recommend to you what you should watch or listen to next. BrandMatch considers three key areas:

  • Influencer Requirements - how well you match the gender, age, social platform and location chosen by the brand.

  • Audience Preferences - how closely your audience matches the target audience the brand is hoping to reach across gender, age and location.

  • TRIBE history - how successful you may have been with similar briefs. It also considers how long you’ve been using TRIBE, so if you’re a newbie then the score you see will be adjusted accordingly.

We already show you the traffic light system for the first two areas when you go into the brief details page, but with the BrandMatch algorithm, you can now easily see which briefs you’re more likely to win.

What will the Brand see?

While we’re gathering feedback on how well BrandMatch works for creators, brands won't see your score. When we’re happy that it’s all working for you, we’ll start showing it to brands. This will help them choose creators who are going to give them the results they’re after and therefore keep them coming back to TRIBE to post more campaigns.

Can I improve the BrandMatch score?

In short, no. BrandMatch is a relevancy score, and as such is affected by the brief's requirements and how well you match up to these.

Why can’t I see my BrandMatch score?

There could be a couple of reasons:

  1. You haven't connected your social account/s.
Your score is unlocked once your social account is connected. You can do this via the 'YOU' tab in the app. Scroll down to the 'Social accounts' section, click the '+' and follow the prompts.

  2. You don't have 3,000+ followers.

Currently, all campaigns on the TRIBE app require creators to have over 3,000 followers. If you're still building your audience, we won't be able to generate your score just yet. BUT, make sure your social accounts are connected as we have exciting opportunities coming soon for creators with a smaller audience! 🤫

So what are you waiting for? Jump into the app and start finding your perfect matches!
